Structural calculation

Request a structural calculation

Are you planning a renovation that alters the load-bearing structure of your home? Then you want to be absolutely sure that everything is executed safely, securely, and in compliance with the regulations. With a structural calculation, we map out exactly what your property needs to safely support the new layout.

What is a structural calculation?

A structural calculation is a technical report that proves the structure of your home is strong enough for the planned renovation. This includes the calculation of steel beams, floors, foundations, columns, roof structures, or other load-bearing components.

The calculation specifies which materials, dimensions, and structural solutions are required to build safely. As such, the structural calculation forms the technical foundation of your building plan—not only for the municipality but also for the contractor who will execute the work.

Without a proper structural calculation, room for doubt remains. Is the beam strong enough? Can the floor support the new load? Is the foundation suitable for the extension? We ensure those questions are answered in advance.

When do you need a structural calculation?

You need a structural calculation as soon as you make any changes to the load-bearing structure of your home. This applies to projects such as removing a load-bearing wall, installing a steel beam, building an extension, adding a roof extension or dormer window, increasing the height of the roof, or adding a roof terrace.

A structural calculation can also be important for permit-free renovations. You remain responsible for the safety of your home at all times. The government stipulates that you must be able to demonstrate that your renovation is structurally safe, even when no permit is required.

When applying for a building permit, the municipality will often require structural documentation. Without a complete calculation, your application may be delayed or rejected.

What can you expect from us?

We deliver clear and comprehensive structural calculations that align perfectly with your building plans. You will receive a structural report containing all necessary calculations, design premises, and technical substantiation. Where required, we supplement this with structural drawings, ensuring that the contractor knows exactly what needs to be built.

Our calculations are suitable for permit applications and are practically applicable during the construction phase. We help think through safe, efficient, and executable solutions, ensuring that you not only meet all regulatory requirements but also avoid unnecessary questions, delays, or additional costs on-site.
